Okay, this is just lovely.
First, internet goes. I resort to using lecture time and leeching wireless from Starbucks to talk on AIM. Pitful, yes. Necessary, also yes.

NOW, computer decides to be rude and simply doesn't work anymore! After 3.5 hours at Starbucks, I shut down my laptop (instead of hibernate like I usually do) because it had a Windows update to install. When I go to boot it up an hour later, it has the error: "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully..." and has a list of options to start up Windows. Any of the options I choose has my laptop try to start Windows, then go back to rebooting and the vicious cycle goes again!! Even if I try for Safe Mode! Of course, the Windows Knowledge Base is almost completely worthless for me as they don't even provide an exact solution.

GLORIOUS.

UPDATE: Found out today that University Bytes isn't open until Monday, and they're the only on-campus repair. I don't trust big stores enough to let them touch my laptop with their grubby little hands. Oh bloody hell.
