SCREW THIS PROVINCE! GAAAAAAAAAH HAAAAAATE!

So tonight for dinner I'm making chili. Not to toot my own horn, but I make pretty good chili. I added a couple extra ingredients as an experiment tonight, and once the chili was stewing it started to smell absolutely delicious. My brain all of a sudden had a brilliant thought, "CORNBREAD." Yes! All this chili needed was cornbread and then it would be perfect! I hadn't had cornbread in a couple years, but after 15 minutes of fighting the craving I braved the cold to get either ready-made cornbread or cornbread mix.

45 minutes and 4 stores later? NO CORNBREAD. WTF. No mix, no nothing! At Provigo, the guy said they *used* to sell the mixes, but stopped. WHY?! WHO DOESN'T LIKE CORNBREAD?!?! I came home with dinner rolls, bloody dinner rolls.

Screw you, Québec. Obviously cornbread was too much to ask to cheer me up a little. >:(

And wow... cornbread is practically a staple here, so goooooood.... I love it just soaked in butter with a bit of honey on top... *murrrr* I'm gonna have to make some this weekend >>

Hahaha my chili doesn't have a set recipe, which is why it comes out a little different every time. Even so, it's deeeeelish. Would've been made better with cornbread though. ;_____;

Admittedly however, my dad makes better chili than I do. This may be because he lets it sit and stew longer whereas I get impatient and hungry after 1.5hrs. :P

I've never ever had cornbread with chili nor have I ever thought of doing such a thing. Recently though, Pa made cornbread with beef stew, which was a first for me. Initial thought was completely "wtf how in the fuck do these two go together?" But boy did they.

If your chili's that good, I'll make a special cornbread delivery. I enjoy a good chili, but so many chilies tastes like shit that I pretty much never eat any more for fear of nastiness. For any kind of comparison, I've always enjoyed Wendy's chili. And now that I mention it, damn do I want some.

Considering how cornbread is more of a tex-mex side, it's only obvious that a tex-mex main dish like chili would be accompanied by cornbread! Also because cornbread is one of the most delicious things ever (especially when it's got the little jalapenos in).

While your offer is unusually nice, I don't know if you *really* want to drive 13 hours just for some chili. XD I don't think my chili is THAT good, though my cousin was heartily impressed (and she lives 5hrs away, probably the limit of travel to come taste my chili).

Unless, of course, you have ulterior motives. XDDDD
